Today, the Foolish Scum Gong Screwed Me Over Again

Chapter 6 - Shameless!

Qiu Yanzhi and Zhang Yuxuan came over with the lamb and the wine just in time to hear Zhao Rui's girlfriend look around before laughing, "What if your husband comes back while we’re making such a ruckus at your house?”

He Zhou was already standing at the doorway about to walk over. He came to a stop after hearing this.

Qiu Yanzhi put all the bottles of beer, white wine and foreign wine in his arms on the table. He used a bottle opener to open them all before pouring himself a generous glass. He smiled, "Don't worry! He's not coming back tonight, so feel free to play!"

"Why isn't he coming back? Didn’t you two just get married?”

"Could it be he has a side piece out there? Hahahaha I'm just kidding..."

"While we’re on this topic there’s something I’ve been dying to know. What on Earth happened during your wedding?”

Zhang Yuxuan saw the topic getting into sensitive territory and yelled, "Why the f*ck are you asking this Zhou Qi?"

Qiu Yanzhi downed all the whiskey in his glass. His entire face wrinkled like a raisin as he raised another class and yelled, "Yuzuan, it's fine, it’s fine!  We're all friends here! Feel free to ask anything guys and I’ll definitely give you an answer. But whoever asks needs to take a shot first!"

Heh, he sure knows how to cut loose.

He Zhou just stood there, wanting to see just how crazy Qiu Yanzhi could get when he wasn't home.

"Alright, alright, I'll go first then..."

The atmosphere suddenly became very lively.

Zhou Qi took a shot and asked, Why did He Zhou leave during the wedding?"

Qiu Yanzhi was actually bad at holding his liquor. He overindulged because of the game this time.

The half glass of whiskey he just drank sent a heat wave of spice throughout his bloodstream, muddling his mind, but he didn’t forget to answer the question. Sitting on a chair and holding his head, he said,  "Because he was angry."

"Then why was he angry?"

Qiu Yanzhi wobbly pointed at him with a flushed face, "That’s question number 2..."

Zhou Qi shook his head. Resigned to his fate, he drank another glass.

Qiu Yanzhi said, "Because I kissed him."

That wasn’t the answer Zhou Qi was looking for. He just wanted to hear Qiu Yanzhi admit that He Zhou hated Qiu Yanzhi and that their wedding was coerced.

Zhou Qi asked, "Any other reasons?”

Qiu Yanzhi was lightheaded, "Why aren’t you asking me why I kissed him?"

The other girl saw that he was drunk, so she coaxed him along like a child, "Then why did you kiss him?"

Qiu Yanzhi suddenly burst out laughing. His face was as red as an apple and his eyes were curved into crescent moons.

"Because he's tall, good-looking, and because I..."

Zhang Yuxuan sighed and took a sip of his drink.

This guy’s going to confess again.

He’s going to say he likes He Zhou.

Zhang Yuxuan didn't know how many times he had heard this phrase from Qiu Yanzh.

He was going to announce it to everyone again.

"Because I...want to sleep with him!" Qiu Yanzhi said loudly.

A mouthful of wine spewed out of Zhang Yuxuan's mouth.

Dude, too much information!

Zhao Rui pounded the table as he laughed, "Okay, okay, you're one straightforward guy I can give you that!"

"Hey, you've been married for so long, but could it be you haven’t done that yet…?”

Zhou Qi didn't get the answer he wanted to hear. Frustrated, he asked again, "Does He Zhou not like you?"

"I heard that He Zhou once liked a guy for over ten years, and that said person happened to return recently."

"Did he go to stay with his first love tonight?"

Zhang Yuxuan was a little angry, "What are you trying to say Zhou Qi? What's wrong with you tonight?!"

Zhou Qi: “Chill out dude, I’m just asking like Qiu Yanzhi wanted. But you’ve always been cutting me off! What’s wrong with you?!”

Yang Fengcheng saw that things were becoming awkward and pulled on Zhou Qi’s sleeve. "Zhou Qi, forget about it..."

Zhou Qi shook off Yang Fengcheng's hand: "Why the hell are you pretending to be all innocent? You wanted to know, didn't you?! Last night in the dormitory, you were the one who went on and on about this, but now you’re pretending to be a saint! Qiu Yanzhi, we’re all friends here. There’s no need to hide anything…”

He turned to look at Qiu Yanzhi only to find he was lying on the table sweetly snoring - he was already asleep.

Then a deep male voice suddenly sounded.

"Yanyan’s feeling tired. Do you all have any other pressing issues? If not then you should leave.”

The group was given a real fright when they turned around to see a calm-looking He Zhou.

…Since when did he start standing there? How much of what was just said did he hear?

Zhou Qi looked embarrassed: "...Mr. He."

He Zhou didn't even spare him a glance. He walked straight over to Qiu Yanzhi.

He put the wontons aside before carefully gathering the sleeping Qiu Yanzhi into his arms. He looked down at his face and murmured indulgently with a hint of laughter, "How did you fall asleep so quickly? Now the wontons I went to get for you will go to waste.”

The Qiu Yanzhi in his arms whimpered and nuzzled against He Zhou's chest.

He Zhou laughed softly and carried Qiu Yanzhi towards the stairs.

After going up two flights, he paused again and turned to look at the people who were staring at him, saying, "Are you planning to stay?

"N-no, not at all! We're leaving right this second!"

“G-good night.”

Everyone looked at each other, grabbed their things, and fled.

Out the door.

They silently walked for a while before one of the girls spoke.

"President He's even more handsome in person. Sigh."

"I'm starting to feel a bit envious of Yanyan."

"Affection really does come with time. That’s right. They’re already married, so how could they feel nothing for each other? Maybe they were just in the middle of an argument during their wedding.”

"The rumors did seem to be grasping at straws."

He Zhou opened the door to Qiu Yanzhi's room and threw him onto the bed.

His tone was cold and indifferent. "They’re all gone so stop pretending."

......

The man on the bed still had his eyes tightly closed. He was even snoring lightly.

"You even popped a peanut in your mouth before pretending to fall asleep. Doesn’t that feel uncomfortable?” He Zhou asked.

Qiu Yanzhi: "......"

He really was a little drunk. It was just that he suddenly saw He Zhou standing in the door while absentmindedly throwing a peanut in his mouth which scared him awake. Qiu Yanzhi didn’t know how to face this embarrassing and chaotic situation as Zhou Qi and Zhang Yuxuan quarreled, so he decided to pretend to sleep on the table.

Qiu Yanzhi silently opened his eyes and chewed the peanut in his mouth. He looked at He Zhou and muttered quietly, "...I thought you wouldn't come back today."

He Zhou: "What, did me coming back disturb your happy and joyful hotpot with your friends?"

Qiu Yanzhi lowered his head until it couldn't be lowered anymore. It might be due to the alcohol, but his voice carried a sense of soft grievance. "...Did you think I wanted to? ...I just...I just didn't want to be alone in a house without you… I felt like I was abandoned."

Then he looked up at He Zhou.

The incandescent lamp overhead scattered bright white dots of light in his eyes that resembled stars, broken diamonds and tears.

When He Zhou saw him in this state, he felt uncomfortable for some reason. He unconsciously shifted away, as if he didn't dare to look into Qiu Yanzhi's eyes anymore.

He Zhou felt as if Qiu Yanzhi was deliberately trying to conceal his previous vulnerability when not a trace of sadness could be detected in his voice as he spoke again. “You...when did you come back, ah?”

He Zhou: "Before you said you wanted to sleep with me."

Qiu Yanzhi: "......"

Qiu Yanzhi simply blinked and shamelessly looked up at He Zhou with shining dark pupils, "So is that a yes?”

He Zhou: "......"

He Zhou turned to avoid Qiu Yanzhi's eyes, reaching out to press his head back into the pillow.

"No." He said coldly and ruthlessly.

Qiu Yanzhi sighed in disappointment before quickly looking back up again, "Then when will it be okay?"

He Zhou's ears were red hot.

Why hadn't he noticed before that this person was so...so shameless!

"Cough... Wash up and go to bed. Don't hang out with those kinds of people anymore. It reflects badly on me.”

He Zhou felt a bit overwhelmed as he strode towards the door.

As a result, as soon as he walked out the door, the man on the bed got off and pitter-pattered over.

He Zhou's waist was suddenly hugged from behind. Qiu Yanzhi stood on his tiptoes and pressed a fleeting kiss to his cheek.

He whispered.

"Thank you for just now. I'm really happy."

With that, this person closed his door and pitter-pattered away again.

He Zhou stood stunned at the doorway. He belatedly touched the spot that had just been kissed.

Qiu Yanzhi returned to his room and jumped onto his bed with a thud.

"Wu!"

...He accidentally banged his toe on the foot of the bed.

Fortunately his pain sensitivity had been decreased so it didn’t hurt that much. Qiu Yanzhi quickly put this small matter out of his mind.

He buried his entire face under the blanket, then happily hugged it and rolled around the bed.

Ah.

How did my brilliant brain manage to salvage the scary and awkward situation just now?!

It even managed to accidentally make some progress on his relationship with He Zhou.

It has to be said-

He Zhou was truly worthy of being the man Laozi fell in love with at first sight.

When he suddenly turned gentle he was really f*cking tempting.

Qiu Yanzhi had been playing this stupid game for over a month.

This was the first time he had tasted some sweetness.

Let’s review what He Zhou, the despicable scum that made him want to jump into the sea, did today.

He didn't spend the night at Meng Qikang's house, he went out of his way to go buy Qiu Yanzhi’s favourite wontons, and he came home to help him put on a show for his friends.

He Zhou seemed to get his wires crossed today or something.

-It was just too delightful.

Qiu Yanzhi wished that he could stay so OOC forever.

At the thought of how he was about to capture He Zhou and reap all those sweet, sweet rewards, Qiu Yanzhi couldn’t help but giggle to himself under his blanket.
