He put down his chopsticks and reached out to rub her hair, “Don’t think too much. Just do whatever you want to do.”

He wasn’t bragging. He had the ability to let his wife live the life she wanted.

“I can do whatever I want?” Su Yan slyly asked with a smile which caused Jiang Jingchuan to become absent minded for a few seconds.

“Yes.”

“Well, I hope that Mr. Jiang can have some leisure time and not be too busy. I wish that he would be able to eat on time everyday, take a rest on time and hope that he would take good care of himself when I am not there. Is this okay?” Such sweet and honeyed words were simply at her fingertips. Su Yan knew what kind of words can make him happy.

Sure enough, Jiang Jingchuan was stunned for a while, gazing at Su Yan, the expression in his eyes deepened as he reached up to gently stroke her cheeks. After a while, he softly spoke: “Mr. Jiang also wants to accompany Mrs. Jiang while eating and taking a rest, but Mr. Jiang also has many responsibilities he needs to fulfil, for his family, for Mrs. Jiang and for the future children.”

Several days ago, Jiang Jingchuan didn’t have any notion about family and children, but  after the birthday banquet, when Jiang Jingchuan was alone, for a while he would also think about what his future children would be like. As a father and a husband, he wanted to give his wife and children the best life. Previously, he worked hard and earnestly struggled, but only for the sake of his ambitions and the sense of achievement, but it was different now, he had matured now.

Su Yan felt upset in her heart. Jiang Jingchuan was brushing up her favorable impression everyday. She was not a cold hearted person. She knew when others treated her well

In the past, His Majesty also treated her good, but that sort of “good” was estranged due to their social ranks and the master and servant relationship. He was accustomed to setting himself high above the masses. Although, according to him, he was already lowering his head by treating her nicely. But because of his status, for as long as she lived, she did not dare to respond to his feelings.

In case there came a day where he would take back all his “good feelings”, what would become of her?

Yes, it was better that way. It was better to not expect anything from the beginning.

Jiang Jingchuan was different. He always treated her well as a husband and as a man. He would ask for her opinions, and also make her feel like an equal.

No one would dislike such a feeling, same was for Su Yan.

She murmured: “Mr. Jiang is so good that Mrs. Jiang doesn’t know what to do.”

From Su Yan’s point of view, Jiang Jingchuan did not owe anything to her, and everything was for her good. Towards such a person, how could she possibly not be touched?

At the end of the day, she was a human being. Even the most average person, even if their heart was made of stone, they still had flesh and blood. She also could be moved, there also would be times when she would soften.

Jiang Jingchuan continued to stroke her face, and warmly smiled: “You just need to be yourself, I will take care of the rest.”

In his heart, Su Yan was already good enough. He didn’t have any high requirement for his wife, and didn’t even have any expectations for any feelings in the past. Now Su Yan had already given him a big pleasant surprise, he wasn’t a greedy person, it was good now.

Su Yan’s state of mind was not usually this complicated. Jiang Jingchuan was good, so good that she did not know how to respond.

Treated her well without saying anything and in addition, respected her a lot. When she said she did not wish to have children, he complied with her and he truly didn’t force her to do anything as he said. She hesitated inwardly for a while before imitating him and touched his face. Keeping in mind, he was so good, perhaps, even if she could not respond to his feelings, but she could still accompany him all the way. Once she had given that 95 most revered person a promise, to hold his hand always, to give him a  child and live together till a ripe old age. She would make that promise to Jiang Jingchuan.

Su Yan contemplated, she thought that she had already given Jiang Jingchuan a lot, but she didn’t think about the fact that if a person genuinely loved someone, then what they yearned the most from the other party was the same love.

When Jiang Jingchuan finished eating, he sensibly put away the bowls and chopsticks and said to Su Yan: “I still have more work left and can’t take it home. There is also a video conference in an hour. I will be busy, at least until after 10 O'clock. Go back first, you don’t have to wait for me.”

Su Yan stared at him for a few seconds before taking out her mobile and charger from her bag. She shook that in front of him: “You are busy with yourself, I am busy with myself, nobody will disturb anybody. Anyway, I will go home with you today.”

In the afternoon today, she had mastered how to view the Moments in WeChat and felt that they were very interesting. At any rate, she would not be bored while Jiang Jingchuan was working overtime, it was just to brush up his favorable impression.

Jiang Jingchuan raised an eyebrow: “It will be very boring, I don’t chat while I work.”

He felt that Su Yan would definitely become restless.

“No, I will not. I am going to stay here.” Su Yan reclined back on the sofa, acting like a hoodlum, “or else you could throw me out.”

Jiang Jingchuan felt helpless and pondered on it. He left the office and walked to the secretarial department. He lightly coughed. Under the secretaries’ terrified gaze, he asked: “What Korean dramas are currently popular?”

Lin Da was the first to respond, she knew that CEO Jiang was asking for Mrs. Jiang. Straightening out her mood, she whispered: “CEO Jiang, there hasn't been any widely popular drama recently, but there was a good one some time ago.” Lin Da spoke the name of that drama to Jiang Jingchuan who memorised it.

After that Jiang Jingchuan spoke to the secretaries again: “It’s late now. You can leave early if you have no work left. You can have dinner outside, and remember to find the Financial Affairs department for reimbursement.”

The secretaries rejoiced in their hearts. Each and everyone of them eagerly looked forward to Su Yan coming more often in the future, in this way, if CEO Jiang’s mood became better, then their following welfare would also be good.

Jiang Jingchuan’s face looked somewhat embarrassed. He then went to the Assistant’s department. He wasn’t as awkward dealing with the male assistant as he was with the secretaries. He directly said: “You should have extra notebooks[1] here, right? Find one and then search for a TV drama for me.”

The assistant immediately went crazy[2] okay.

CEO Jiang actually made him search for a Korean drama, what could this mean!

Even though his heart was in huge turmoil[3], his face was dead earnest as he nodded. He immediately looked inside the cabinet and found a reserve notebook and a charger, then quickly searched for the Korean drama said by Jiang Jingchuan, and with a stupefied face, handed them over.

When Jiang Jingchuan returned to his office, the secretaries and the assistants on this floor were tidying things up, preparing to leave. Since Mrs. Jiang had come over, the low wattage bulbs naturally wouldn’t become high wattage light bulbs[4] and go somewhere else to cool off.

Su Yan saw Jiang Jingchuan holding a notebook in his hands, and wondered what he was going to do. Jiang Jingchuan walked over to her, put the notebook in front of her, and went to plug in the socket nicely. After finishing up, he said: “You can watch a TV Drama, the secretaries said that this was very good to watch.”

Waah……. she loves watching TV \(^o^)/~
