Ghosts Know What I Experienced
Chapter 21.3: My treasure.
Chapter 21 Part 3
In the skies above the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.
Once Ye Jingzhi left, Zhuzhao-zhenren’s thoughts were finally fully concentrated on divining. He used Jiqin-daoren’s drop of blood on the quaint tortoise shell and silently mouthed the incantations. The tortoise shell slowly floated into the middle of the sky and started spinning.
The amount of sweat on Zhuzhao-zhenren’s head increased as his cheeks became more and more red. As he recited the incantations, he looked like he was being roasted by a raging fire from the inside, his cheeks were so red that they scared people, and his sweat pitter-pattered as they hit the ground.
Zhufeng-zhenren hollered, “Junior Brother!”
Cengxiu-zhenjun, “Fellow Daoist Zhuzhao found the crucial point. Let’s wait for another quarter of an hour. If Fellow Daoist Zhuzhao still can’t find out the thing’s location, we will break him out of his current state. Otherwise, he will certainly be roasted to death by the raging fire.”
His voice just fell when a “kacha” could be heard.
The sound was very faint, but the dozens of seniors flying in the sky and the several hundred Celestial Masters standing on the ground all raised their heads and nervously looked at the tortoise shell in front of Zhuzhao-zhenren.
The tortoise shell made from white jade was covered with blood colored tortoise patterns. Like Zhufeng-zhenren’s divination during the daytime, Zhuzhao-zhenren had also used Jiqin-daoren’s blood and dripped it onto the shell. Jiqin-daoren’s relationship with the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor was rather deep which made it easier to calculate what went wrong in the Mausoleum.
When Zhufeng-zhenren did the divination, he almost indicated a direction but was broken by a faint dragon aura.
This time, during Zhuzhao-zhenren’s divination, the tortoise shell didn’t emit any red points or red lights. Nor did it point out a direction. The damned thing was that the white jade tortoise shell actually shattered along the blood colored pattern with a bang. Pieces of the shell fell to the ground. On the contrary, Zhufeng-zhenren rushed over in surprise. The rest of the Celestial Masters quickly caught and prevented Zhuzhao-zhenren’s body from falling over.
Zhufeng-zhenren carefully examined the fragments of the tortoise shell, “The subject trigram as Zhen, the object trigram as Kan, Zhen Kan gives rise to Zhun. Zhun is the Book of Changes’ 3rd hexagram of the 64 hexagrams.1 Zhen represents thunder, is moving; Kan represents rain, is dangerous. Strange, strange. Why would these two trigrams, Zhen Kan, appear together? Is there some distinguishable signs?”
Although the daoists of Tianji School who were standing on the ground couldn’t see the divinatory diagram, they could hear their sect leader talking. They also quickly started discussing.
“Thunder and rain accompany each other. Could it be that the change in the First Emperor’s Tomb this time is very dangerous?”
“Zhen Kan appearing together, this is a combination of two trigrams. Don’t tell me there’s an outlier?”
“Zhun in the eight trigrams points to the northeast. Perhaps the thing escaped to the north?”
The unreliable Zhuzhao-zhenren had already regained consciousness at this moment. He wiped the sweat off his head and said as he gasped for breath, “Senior Brother, I have never been as good as you at explaining divinations. I won’t guess any longer. Everything will be left to you.”
Zhufeng-zhenren nodded his head and once again examined the fragments of the tortoise shell. Zhuzhao-zhenren looked like a big shot as he leisurely sat to the side, sipping tea and resting. However, Zhufeng-zhenren looked for a long time, guessed many outcomes, but felt like none of them was the answer.
Zhuzhao-zhenren opened his cell phone, glanced at the debt of 60,000+ on his screen, and grievingly raised his head. Once he raised his head, he noticed his senior brother still trying to understand the divination, and he casually said, “Zhen trigram and Kan trigram are both a part of the Zhun hexagram. The Zhun hexagram is the 3rd hexagram of the 64 hexagrams. Is it possible that it has something to do with the number 3?”
As soon as his words fell, Zhuzhao-zhenren himself burst into loud laughter.
If everyone were like him while explaining divinations, the Xuanxue world’s definitely done for.
However, only the sound of his laughter echoed in the skies above the Mausoleum of the First Emperor. Laughing and laughing, Zhuzhao-zenren couldn’t laugh any longer, and he looked at his own senior brother, only to see Zhufeng-zhenren’s eyes widening in shock, “Purple aura of a real dragon, Zhen Kan gives rise to Zhun, it’s three! It’s three! Qin passed down two generations before dying. Fellow Daoists, we all forgot that the Qin Dynasty clearly had three emperors. The third……The third emperor’s tomb has never been found. It’s him! It was the King of Qin, Ziying, who had escaped. He had always been in the First Emperor’s Tomb!”
Zhuzhao-zhenren’s eyes widened foolishly like a dog.
It’s really going to be explained like this?
The Xuanxue world was really going to be done for?!
The things that had happened above the First Emperor’s Tomb, Ye Jingzhi didn’t know at all. He rapidly flew through downtown Chang’an and found the hotel. After knocking on the door, Master Ye waited obediently. After waiting for a minute, surprisingly, there’s no sound.
Master Ye obediently knocked on the door again. After knocking for a moment, he obediently waited.
After waiting for another minute, there’s still no response.
Ye Jingzhi was getting somewhat anxious and wrinkled his brows, at a loss outside. Should he directly break in and check the situation? It’s already very late at night, and Xi Jia still hadn’t come back. Or should he continue to wait outside?
After thinking over and over, Master Ye knocked again. This time he knocked longer for half a minute, then he obediently lowered his head and waited quietly.2 This time he waited for a full five minutes, and there’s still no movement whatsoever from the room.
Ye Jingzhi’s eyes trembled. He put his right hand on the doorknob, lightly turning it. The locked door simply opened.
Ye Jingzhi helped Xi Jia find this hotel. It was very big. Once he entered the room, he saw the living room and the bedroom couldn’t be seen at all. According to Xi Jia’s personality, he would only stay at a normal hotel whenever he went out and was very poor. He absolutely wouldn’t stay at this kind of 5-star hotel. But, Master Ye had money and even spent them wantonly. He extravagantly booked this kind of hotel for him.
Ye Jingzhi searched in the living room for a while and didn’t find anyone. He walked further in and faintly heard the sound of water. He listened carefully, and surprisingly there’s already no more sound.
A strange thought emerged in his mind. Before he could think about it clearly, it disappeared without a trace.
Ye Jingzhi walked towards the bedroom. He just reached the door when the bathroom door next to the bedroom was suddenly pushed open from the inside by someone.
Xi Jia used a towel to rub his hair, and looked at the black clothed man standing in front of him in astonishment. Ye Jingzhi widened his eyes bit by bit. From the top to bottom and from the top to bottom again. After he looked two times, he suddenly turned around, his back facing Xi Jia.
Xi Jia, “……?”
The elegant, black haired young man used a towel rub his hair, wore a white bathrobe, and loosely tied the bathrobe at the waist. The neckline of the bathrobe was very wide, generously exposing his white skin. Not knowing if it was due to the lack of outdoor exercise, the skin was clear and white like fine jade. In the haziness, two pink points could even be faintly seen in the shadows of the bathrobe.
Xi Jia rubbed his hair and looked at Ye Jingzhi’s back. His first response was, “Master Ye, how did you get in?” He clearly remembered locking the door, and even locked three layers!
Ye Jingzhi’s entire face was a deep red. His ears were also red like a drop of blood. He was so shy that he couldn’t even a say a single word out loud.
Xi Jia walked to his front in confusion, and Ye Jingzhi quickly turned to the side again.
Xi Jia felt even more baffled.
At this point, Ye Jingzhi had already recovered his expression except for his face that was still red. He opened his mouth, and closed it again. After mulling it over for a while, he said in a small voice like a mosquito buzzing, “I……I opened the door and entered. I thought something had happened to you. No one answered when I knocked, so I entered to take a look. I didn’t think……didn’t think you’re actually……”
How could Ye Jingzhi say the following words out loud?
Xi Jia was taking a shower!
Right, Xi Jia needed to go filming today and might be coming back late. Then, taking a shower at this time was normal.
But, he was showering……
And……his future fiancé, who didn’t wear any clothes at all inside and only had a bathrobe on, stood in front of his eyes!
For the first time, the Master Ye, who innately had Yin Yang Eyes and could see yin energy, was glad that he only possessed Yin Yang Eyes and not X-ray vision. Otherwise, he wouldn’t just use his mind to sense that Xi Jia was only wearing a bathrobe and didn’t wear underwear. Instead, he would see his future fiancé wearing nothing and standing in front of him with his naked eyes.
Xi Jia who was wearing no underwear still didn’t know that the fact that he was naked underneath had already been discovered by Master Ye using his thoughts.
In Ye Jingzhi’s presence, Xi Jia turned his body in search of the hair dryer in the drawer.
Ye Jingzhi did a minute’s worth of psychological work and finally used magic power to suppress the redness on his face. As soon as he turned around, he saw Xi Jia’s back facing him and bent at the waist, not sure what he was doing.
Ye Jingzhi, “!!!”
The hem of the white bathrobe was very long. Even if Xi Jia bent over, nothing could be seen. But in the dark black shadow, Master Ye clearly knew that……
Nothing was worn at all……
Nothing was worn at all……
Nothing……
was worn……
at all……
Bang!
A gush of heat flowed down from his nose. Ye Jingzhi immediately turned his head and covered his nose.
Xi Jia found the hair dryer. When he turned around, he saw Master Ye standing with his back towards him again for some reason.
He carefully thought for a bit: Could it be that there’s something wrong with him today?
Looking at the mirror, en, there’s nothing on his face, and the clothes were also worn properly. Master Ye couldn’t possibly have X-ray vision and noticed that he’s not wearing underwear haha…….Not right, even if he’s not wearing any underwear, what about it? Two big men, nothing awkward……
Should be nothing awkward……right?……
The more Xi Jia thought, the more awkward it became. It was better if he went back to the bathroom and find underwear to wear first. When he came back again this time, Ye Jingzhi’s expression was undisturbed as he looked at him. There’s no abnormality. Xi Jia looked at him a few more times and couldn’t help but notice, “Master Ye……on the corner of your lip, there’s some blood?”
Ye Jingzhi quickly erased the nosebleed that he hadn’t wiped clean, “Along……along the way, I saw a malicious ghost. Probably got stained when I hit it.”
Xi Jia asked in astonishment, “Aren’t malicious ghosts made of yin energy and have no physical body? It actually can even bleed?”
Ye Jingzhi, “That……that was an unusual malicious ghost. Has blood.”
Xi Jia, “……” I keep on feeling that something’s strange.
While he was blowing his hair, Xi Jia asked about the situation at the Mausoleum today, and Ye Jingzhi patiently replied. Until Xi Jia finished blow-drying his hair, he suddenly remembered a problem, “Eh? Since all those masters are guarding at the Mausoleum, Master Ye, how come you came back first?”
Ye Jingzhi was about to recite today’s incantation for the relic. He slowly drew Xi Jia’s hand as if he’s handling a treasure. The only treasure he could really have and cherish after living by himself all these years, he gently placed his hand in his palm.
“I need to come back and recite for you, I want to know……how your day went.”

1 震 Zhen 坎 Kan 屯 Zhun – parts of the 8 trigrams/64 hexagrams. The dialogue itself pretty much explains their basics. More info here.
周易 Zhou Yi – Another name for the Book of Changes, also romanized as I-Ching. ↵
2 乖巧 obediently – the term here is usually used to indicate how they (usually children) are well-behaved, etc. But also at the same time, adorable and cute. So add the cute tag to YJZ when he’s knocking on the door and waiting.
